WordPress 2.5 Trial Site

February 17, 2008 | By Monika Mundell | Comments Off

Last month I quickly gave you a sneaky preview via a video on how the new WordPress 2.4 version will look like. For those of you who missed this post, here is a chance to test the new version (now 2.5) scheduled for general release on March 10th.

By clicking on the image below you’ll be lead to the login page for the test site.

  • Username: admin
  • Password: demo

You can test the new site to your hearts content, but be aware that you don’t actually see everything just yet.

Also, for those crafty enough to actually post something, the site will auto refresh every 10 minutes to keep it clean. At the moment the site isn’t safe to use yet since there are still issues with bugs and all.

Enjoy :-)

The backend looks good, but is entirely different so many won’t like it as they were well experienced with the old admin panel.

Looks like some web 2.0 wordpress :)

The new interface looks superb! But it is high time they considered including a CSS-based dropdown menu on the links on top. I really should NOT need to click twice to do things: first on top level menu (e.g., PRESENTATION) and then the second (e.g. THEME EDITOR). Other than that, it’s surely going in the right direction!

Overall this looks like a lot of work for ME as I need to change all the screen shots in my guide, and all the videos as well.

I think the functional level will be better. But I don’t like the orange color, it doesn’t look good. From what I’ve seen on the direct import of media in the text editor, I’m also very happy.
