VIP Hosting at WordPress.com

Just came across this new fature,VIP Hosting at WordPress.com, when I was reading ProBlogger.

It seems that Wordpress.com (not the .org version) is offering it’s users the chance to host their blogs with Wordpress. One thing that confuses me though; they charge $250 a month and $500 set-up fees – yet they require that you have at least 100,000 pageviews per month…

Am I missing something? Won’t it make more sense to have a cheaper package and terget new new users that may not have much experience blogging and using Wordpress?

At 100,000 pageviews per month I’d probably know enough to get my own reseller hosting or VPS and host it myself.

Time to digg out more facts..
