Great post! This is something I have been researching for a while now. I plan on writing a few articles to submit to some directories soon. I can't wait to see the results.

Getting original content is the only way to get good linkbacks and drive target visitors to you site.

Thats why I outsource all my article writing. Here is a good service www.e-businessadvantage.com

That is a good point Steven - although I am really looking for generally applicable advice, I think my main focus is on generating real people - targeted visitors to my newsletter sign-up, which might be on my blog or a specific landing page.

Backlinks certainly don't hurt either!

Hi Gobala, Yaro & Andrew,

It's good to hear so much opinion here. I get benefited so much in between your conversation.

By the way, I am just thinking that maybe there something missing in this conversation. I may not know that is true or not here.

The missing link here is "What is your objective of using EA or AM?" Are you gaining free traffic to your website? building backlink? increase popularity? Probably we should disucss what is our objective first, then we will know which method is good. I always believe that there is no best methods but methods that work best for you. Test, test and test.

Interesting Gobala - that's what I thought concerning EzineArticles. Since my blog will outrank Ezine for most topics I am generally better off publishing the article myself if I want search results.

However where I would hope article syndication has value is when a popular ezine or blog or website republishes your article and you gain exposure. The same goes for back links to a lesser extent.

During my article marketing experiment at EzineArticles I never experienced syndication from any good sites or newsletters so I'm curious whether others are enjoying better results using a service like ArticleMarketers.

I'm pretty sure article marketing as a technique in general is not that powerful for either direct traffic or backlinks, perhaps money is better spent on link bait techniques.

Most people use EzineArticles.com as a springboard site to get listed for targeted keywords. By putting keyword-targeted articles (with the keyword in your title) you can get a top10 SE ranking in EzineArticles. This works if your site is not as authoritative as EA, which I guess applies to most websites.

The real traffic from EA comes when your article ranks for a certain keyword. People will click throgh to your website in the bio box.

Thats why sometimes even though you publish the article in your own blog first, the one at EA will outperfom you.

(Might be different in your case, Yaro)

This springboard technique doesnt work in ArticleMarketer perse, or any of their syndicated sites because most of those sites have lower rankings. But they do get you the backlinks.

So I'll use both.

What work better is.. Yaro, in your case, since you have an email ist, let your subscribers know about your latest article, and encourage them to use it on their blogs.

Sometimes, when you tell people to publish your article on their blogs, they actually do so..

Hey Yaro,
good to see you here.

if i was exploring using article marketing, i'd probably submit a couple of articles by hand and use SEO elite to measure the results, then decide how to proceed.

on the warrior forum, there's some feedback that the article marketer team can get back busy and lag behind on their tech support and customer service.

you might also want to know that automated submission does not work well with the bigger article directories.

so the key is test out both. get a 1 week or 1mth trial at AM, test and measure as with everything else in internet marketing.

So what do you guys think would be a better strategy -

Hire someone to manually handle my campaign at EzineArticles.com or pay to use the service at ArticleMarkters?

I'm beginning to think that EzineArticles is the only site worth targeting with any efforts.
