Smart People Use Firefox

December 9, 2007 | By Monika Mundell | Comments Off

Smart Internet users know that Firefox is the safest browser available. Despite this, most people are still using IE7 and other browsers but you can use this to your own advantage by installing the AskApache Firefox Adsense WordPress Plugin.

This Plugin is a smart way of referring others to using Firefox and get paid for doing so. What the Plugin does is display a simple Google Adsense Ad with the Firefox image.

The smart thing about the AskApache Firefox Adsense Plugin is that it will only show the ad to users that are not using Firefox, and only to users running Windows. Those are the requirements to getting paid by Google, and it doesn’t show the Ad to the intelligent people already using Firefox (or running linux/non-windows).

Depending on the users location, you can get paid up to USD $ 1 for each referral provided they have never used Firefox before.

To use this Plugin you will need a Google Adsense account which is free to sign up for.

Download the Plugin

Installation Instructions:

  • After you downloaded the zipped Plugin folder into the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  • Unzip into its own folder (/wp-content/plugins/aa-firefox-adsense/aa-firefox-adsense.php
  • Go to your WordPress admin and navigate to your “Plugins” tab, activate the AskApache Firefox Adsense Plugin
  • Go to “Options” and open the AskApache Firefox Adsense menu.
  • Next enter your Google Adsense code and click “Update Values” button.
    Now do the following:

If you don’t use Firefox already, you want to change over right away since it is simply a great browser offering so much more than IE7 ever can. At least you will be confident in using this Plugin, knowing that you refer people to something that is worthwhile.

    Hey jox,

I heard you loud and clear. :-) I have actually never used Opera myself but heard a lot of good things about it, so thanks for the heads up.
