Use the Genie's Tools To Find Blog Related Info

For those of you who are into stats and checking where they rank for what keyword etc, then Search Engine Genie is a cool free tool that allows you to do all kinds of SEO related checks.

search engine genie

For example you can check your back links, compare your site to those of your competitors, check your position on Google and Yahoo for any given keyword you target, check your current and future page rank on Google and so much more.

Be warned though as this site will probably keep you busy for hours. The more you see, the more you try to check and before you know it you will have spent quite some time. When I target certain keywords for my niches, I normally like to check where I stand and whether they climb Google.

So far I had to rely on Shoemoney’s Serp tool which always bothered me somewhat since I’m sure Shoe can actually spy on all the searches and check out why this certain person always checks for the one keyword. So I never felt 100% comfortable. He might not bother with this at all, but I know that if I had this tool on my site I would certainly go and check stats every now and then and repeated searches would stick out like a thorn.

Therefore I’d quickly see if and who keeps searching for the same keyword on a given site.

With the SEG, I don’t have to worry about that anymore as it isn’t hosted on a particular blog as such.

Plus every time I visit Search Engine Genie I find something new to check out.

Cool free tools are excellent! One of my favorite repositories for such things is over at SEO company – 136 free tools are listed and counting.

    Enjoy,

Monika, somehow I did not like the website you mentioned so prominently here. The navigation to the things you mentioned is not as easy as you mentioned probably.
There are so many much useful websites around in same niche, this is not something I was looking for here. Anyways, if you like the website as you wrote, and if I don’t; it’s just different perspective may be.

You know, I never thought of this before but it’s an outstanding idea! I’ve written quite a few articles and have done exactly what you said, published them on article directories in the hopes of generating some traffic in the long run as well as a few backlinks. But I never considered having a directory of my own running like that. Thanks, I’m gonna give a peek at it.

@ James, didn’t your comment fit in the next blogpost to this that talks about “article submission by wordpress” – most probably it did :) .

@ Life is Colourful: sorry to hear you didn’t like the suggestion of using the genie. After all it is free and everybody else seemed to like it. ;-) I do actually love them, especially their keyword ranking tool since I’m also an active niche marketer.

As for James comment, yes he did miss the right post to comment.

Curious as to where you find the free tool, all i can see is paid plans.

    Is this the correct link

  9. Life is Colourful on March 6th, 2008 3:28 am

Hey Monika, thanks for replying on my comment. I would have certainly liked it if the free tools have been given enough exposure on the homepage. It’s so difficult to find it it seems as rightly mentioned by Suzie in the comment above.

I would probably prefer using linkvendor.com for all those SEO free tools, as that’s the first motive they have to provide free tools to user.

@ everyone: I realize now that the free stuff is hard to find on the site, so thanks for those who asked for and mentioned this, if your use this link
    http://www.searchenginegenie.com/google-rank-checker.html

and then bookmark it, you will be able to see all the free tools on the left hand side instantly.

    Hope this helps somewhat more.
