Premium News Theme For Magazine Style Blogs

premium-news-theme

Without doubt, the Premium News Theme is the most advanced magazine-style Wordpress theme I have ever seen.

Developed by Adii, a rather talented web designer, the Premium News Theme takes advantage of the rise in demand for Wordpress themes that look like online magazines. I’ve already covered the Revolution themes on ProfitBlogger.com – but this theme takes it to the next level.

Features of the Premium News Theme:

  • Integrated “Premium News Options” to change colour scheme, homepage layout etc.
  • Featured Posts panel on the homepage using jQuery technology to display / hide the posts
  • Built-in Video Player to publish your YouTube easily and seamlessly on your homepage
  • Integrated Banner Management script to display randomized banner ads of your choice site-wide
  • Pretty dropdown navigation everywhere
  • Different homepage layouts and colour schemes to choose from
  • Widget-ready sidebars
  • And all the other standard WordPress functions…

What I really like is the clean layout, amount of “white space” and the color scheme. The bells and whistles in this case actually do serve a purpose – they help you organize and display a massive amount of content on your main page itself.

For example, the video player function on Premium News Theme actually lists a couple of videos accessible by a neat navigation bar on the right. The same goes with content like your recent posts, recent comments and tag clouds. Neat, accessible and attractive.

Perfect for blogs with a lot of content, but not advisable for blogs with little content or mostly text based content.

The price tag is quite steep – $99.95 for single user license – but if you can afford it I strongly recommend you get it as it quite plainly beats all the Wordpress themes I’ve seen to date.

It’s amazing how one comment can domino :) In the end you know maybe someone will reward the ’spreading the word’ :)

I really like this theme – just need to think of a project to use it!! Gobala, this is the kind of no hype information I love to receive. You’ve really taken a leap forward with your new style over the past 3 months (or is it longer than that already?). Thanks

Thanks :) I started off as a direct marketer where it’s all hype, then moved to blogging which is zero hype. Hopefully I’ll be somewhere in between – less hype, more facts, and yet still a good marketer.

That’s a gorgeous theme! I’ve noticed that a lot of these ‘news’ style themes look a lot more like Joomla or Drupal than Wordpress. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. ;-)
