Plugin: Display Breadcrumbs on Pages

The Hansel and Gretel Breadcrumb Plugin is a simple and effective way to display breadcrumbs on all your Wordpress pages and posts. Using Wordpress’ “Friendly URLs” option, it transforms the URL into a breadcrumb trail. For example the URL: http://www.example.com/blogging/wordpress/breadcrumbs would create the following breadcrumb trail: Example » Blogging » Wordpress » Breadcrumbs.

If the URL you are using is not good for creating a breadcrumb trail, for instance if you used abbreviations to shorten the URL, such as “wp” for Wordpress, then a hashed array can be used to transform the URL into a usable breadcrumb trail. A detailed example is given on the plugin’s post.
