Plugin: Add Password Security Easily
February 1, 2007 | By Gobala Krishnan | No Comments »
The Wordpress Password Plugin allows implementation of passwords in Wordpress without the need for .htaccess or users. It creates a new Options sub-menu called Wordpress Password where you can assign a site-wide password to all your Wordpress generated posts and pages, and exclude certain pages from that requirement as well.
When the plugin is inactive, or active and a password hasn’t been set, no password is required. The plugin sets a session-time cookie to allow users to browse around your site after entering the password, and the password will be asked again if the user closes their browser.
