Justin Tadlock’s Options WordPress Theme Beta

March 7, 2008 | By Monika Mundell | Comments Off

One of my favorite WordPress theme designers has always been Justin Tadlock. This guy simply manages to push out free quality WordPress themes after each other. Not only that, but Justin always includes in depth information on how to customize each theme.

I don’t think that I have seen any of Justin’s so far that I disliked and it is because of him that I’m so in love with magazine styleWordPress themes. They give us so much more choices to style our blogs and are great for any blog, not just news blogs.

To be honest, I wonder how Justin actually earns money as he only gives away free themes. Unless of course I’m missing something here.

His latest baby is the Options WordPress Theme. Fully customizable to include video, thumbnails, images, sidebar or no sidebar and lots more, this theme is set to be very popular amongst WordPress users.

For any given page you create within the Options admin, you can choose not to include a sidebar and this is what you’ll get below.

Here is what Justin says on his blog about the Options Theme:

“On the surface, it’s just another theme floating around in the WordPress-o-sphere, but it’s meant to be so much more than that. The ultimate goal of this theme is to allow any user to have the features he or she wants without touching the code at all, except to design stylesheets or custom sections, which the theme is already flexible enough to allow for. Of course, I don’t want load times to slow any either.”

Options is Justin’s latest addition of his great looking WordPress themes and anybody keen enough to jump on the bandwagon will also be one of Justin’s’ Guinea pigs, since the theme is still in Beta.

If you want to know more about the Options WordPress Theme, go and visit Justin Tadlock’s blog.

It’s almost like the “Revolution” theme eh? So this is what you call ‘magazine’ style. Never knew it until I read it here again..
