Kevin Rose Started Digg From Elance?
Can someone actually go to Elance, hire a programmer, and make a couple of million bucks?
Yes they can, according to Elance. Here’s the quote on their site:
“In 2003, Kevin had a big idea. He came to Elance to post a project and look for a PHP programmer, selected Owen Byrne… and worked with him to build the initial product. Eventually, Owen joined Digg full-time.”

Digg.com is one of the most trafficked sites on the Internet. It’s a social news site that depends on it’s users to vote or “digg” for the news they like, and also “bury” those they don’t.
If your post does to make it to Digg’s front page, you’ll allegedly get an extreme boost of web traffic.
