@ 4 Mind 4 Life: You are welcome Drew. With your mindset you will no doubt keep going that's for sure.

You also raised a good point which I failed to mention, so thanks for adding to my post. You said that your blog receives good traffic but no comments. That is fine as long as the blogger is happy and doesn't expect more because of that reason.

Often when the blog grows we think the comments need to grow with it and when we fail to see this happening we are disappointed.

@ Bob: you are not wrong about the search engines. PLR content however can be a great source of inspiration to churn out blog posts. The key is to rewrite them with the most minimal effort but no duplicate content alert.

It helps many non writers.

@ Sarah: too right, that can happen too. I have seen it on a couple of my blog posts as well where I rank in the top three positions on Google and even though I wrote those last year, I still get the ocasional comment every now and then.

Interesting Monika. It seems as though my articles get great traffic and that I am doing very well w/ my subscribers, but my comments section is fairly low at the moment.

I am not unsatisfied with a lack of comments and I have faith that as my blog is around on the web longer, the comments will beef up.

I do understand though, that most bloggers would feel as though there is something wrong with their blog if the subscriber count, traffic, and comments are all low. Thanks for the thought-provoking article ;)

I find the hardest thing is getting content for your blog - especially if you are not a writer.

I know there is a lot plr stuff out there but I worry about duplicate content.

The search engines may or not penalize you for this but I don't like posting the same 'stuff' someone else has, unless it's like a 'guest post'.

And then you have the funny old posts that stick high in the SERPs and generate comments years after.
