I just set up AdSense for my site through Feedburner and the account has been linked but I do not see any channels in the Moneytize tab.

I even created a URL channel (I called it www.zenithpropertysolutions.com/blog) on AdSense but nothing is happening yet, what do you think I should do?

[...] The service that I used to handle all my feeds is FeedBurner. It’s simple to use and easy to set up. All you have to do is subscribe your site with FeedBurner, put a tracking code in your site, and let Feedburner do the rest for you. Once you are set-up with Feedburner, you can activate all the cool functions, such as allowing your readers to subscribe via email, and also the FeedFlares. FeedFlares allow you to add functionality to your feeds, and there are a couple of good ones that you will definitely need to drive more visitors to your blog such as Stumble Upon, Digg, Delicious, etc. Once you’ve activated the FeedFlares, they will appear in the bottom of your post. And since Google bought over FeedBurner, you can now display Google Adsense in your FeedBurner RSS Feed. [...]

No offense to you Mert... but this just pressed my buttons...

If people want to quit reading my stuff because of an ad or two... then that's their right to do so! Just as it is mine to try to earn a living from the 'net. But I am sick and tired of being constantly made to feel guilty because I have adsense ads, or use affiliate links (perish the thought) because I have a BLOG!

What on earth is wrong with that? As long as I only recommend stuff that's useful to my readers and not every crappy product that comes along to drain their wallets - Now THAT you DO have to be careful about!

Sorry... the Internet IS my full-time occupation, and has been for over 12 years! I would not have been able to "survive" without those ads/links, and if some people expect me to provide the depth of content I do without anything other than warm fuzzies, or make me feel that I have to constantly apologise because I use adverts to meet my "living" expenses... then the best place for them IS somewhere else.

People DO make a living from the web, so to those who crucify us for trying to do it, it's time for a bit of a reality check here please for 2008 :)

End of rant!

Yeah Gobala, you are right. I am still suspicious about my blog, even though i aim to make a living by blogging. How can i know without trying? I think i should try first, and then decide what to do.
