I would not use a thing like that. I think that what makes money is visitors, and what make visitors is content.

If your blog´s content is not good you will not make any money from your blog. Or if you do, it will not last long. The blog will die.

I tried wp-o-matic for a day. It does what it says but it does make for a messy looking site as it basically scrapes everything including links and pics from the other sites.

In the end I just deactivated it and removed the scraped content. I guess if you can afford 100s of domains then you could knock up sites that make money but for me I’d prefer to use PLR or maybe the odd ezinearticles piece or a pingback if I must use someone else’s content.

I have success with semi-autoblogging making me anywhere between $100 to $300 per niche blog a month. However, idea is different from what you described in the post. Here it goes – combine unique and already published content (like ezinearticles) preferably in physical product niches, sign up as eBay affilaite, get WordBay plugin to publish eBay product RSS, find related CPA offers, publish banners and add Adsense. Goal is to appear to search engines as a portal for given product info, thus you must have unique content. Works like a charm.

It sounds so tempting but I’m always afraid of doing work and then getting “found out” by Google and losing my ranking.

I’ve had some mild success combing niche and auto blogging together though.

This is a really good synopsis of autoblogging. I’m doing a test right now with 100 blogs. My content is actually pretty good and I’m not infringing on anyone’s rights to do it.

You’re correct that it can be very technical to get going and a pain in the arse. It doesn’t have to be a ‘black hat’ activity either. There are content sources that are meant to be used however you want (and no I’m not talking about other blog’s rss feeds – although that CAN be done too) without hurting anyone or anything.

Anyway, my two cents, and thanks for your post.
