Are Your Blog Posts Listed in StumbleUpon?

With Google fully integrating data on their search pages, it’s really simple to find out what pages from your blog are already in StumbleUpon.

Simple type in the following: site:yourwebsite.com

Of course, replace “yourwebsite.com” with your actual website URL, and you’ll see something like this:

stumble-upon-google

This type of search command is useful to see what pages have been indexed in Google, but now it can also be used to see which pages (red arrows) are already being visited by users. You’ll also be able to see the main tags used for your website and the user ID of the StumbleUpon user who first discovered your website, or your individual blog pages.

Does stumbleupon gives you better exposure? It’s my first time actually finding out about them.

Hmm…actually I hate to burst your bubble on this one, but that’s stumbleupon’s plugin creating those icons, not Google. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a marriage in the future, but for now anyone who’s installed either their firefox or IE toolbar has that option.

For what it’s worth I can attest to the power from Stumble traffic. I’ve seen my blog go through the roof over night from both organic Stumbling and Ad generated.

Got something to say?
