Hi making money blogging,
If the website you say optimizing is the one your nick name is on, then for sure I have some help for you.
You will need to hide your adsense ads within your design so that they might look like part of your website. They need to suit perfectly, the background and the color of every text. Also try to make them to fit with your text, just like your articles start below a square box which have half of the resolution of your text boxes... You should have then put a larger banner. Also you have only one banner and it is directly on any article not on every page, also a maximum of 3 ads groups are allowed on each page so you should have way more than just one ad in your article page. Add to them a powerful searchbar and there you have way more chances to gain victory dollars. For the short answer to all of this, I am personally the author of 50 blogs with my wife, we are together writing for living. Which give us around 8000$ monthly on a steady rate... This since 3 years. The last one we did is the one in my nick, starts maybe 3 weeks ago. We already have 870 visitors daily. So I don't know what you guys have missed in the SEO part but you have to improve it a lot from my point of vue...

First of all once your website is done, ensure to have some RSS feeds to, join it to your feedburner account. Add your own feeds to your yahoo mail account to at least be your very first visitor as you will get more refreshed by yahoo to refresh your own mailbox. I submit myself to over 500 directories tho, you need to gear yourself with the right softwares for it or to pay monthly fees from experts (very lower than 30$ usually) some host are even offering it. Of course the sitemaps.xml for google and the robots.txt file for most Search Engines are required to. Submit your sitemaps on google webmaster tools.

Aquire some more logs from your visitors with Crazy Egg and Analytics. Find out what your visitors are looking for and then add some links trough your text to some affiliate products from some programs like linkshare. With all of these set right plus some article submition to article directories like technorati your website should have way more targeted free visitors within the very first weeks!

Opitimize everything everytime this is the exact meaning of being a performing webmaster. We have searched around 3 years reading books and videos with my wife and finally this plan well done on every website with a good research of your keywords, and by chosing your subjects carefully to, you should be able to make money real soon.

Adsense is only a very low part of our revenue actually, most of our partners are affiliate programs from everywhere else, they are more tricky to install but totally worth it. The reason for this claim is simple:"one click hostgator = 50$ first sale, but 20 monthly clicks hostgator = 2500$" this is the case for most affiliate programs so this is what I mean by tricky. Tweak it and tweak it more. Post your comment like this article be fair and honest.

DONT USE DUPLICATE CONTENT! syndicate RSS instead. It's way more easy to manage as once installed there is nothing to do anymore and you'll get new content. Try to tag it nofollow tho and if possible try to use the needed parameters so that google skips this section to. It will improve your pagerank once you'll be online for a while.

I don't use adwords for anything else than single products that I sell like ebooks I've done or opt-in lists. Everyone it's own habits

Hey Gobala.
I have to agree o this point and its a very good one.
Currently I spend about 25-35$ a month to drive traffic at a site im optimizing for adsense. Its not a blog. And currently Im "earning-earned for sept" (just checked after reading this post) 65.13 so Im ahead by roughly 30-ish bux which is around 100% ROI if my math is correct.
I get google checks every so often Which is nice and I just plop them back on my cc for more ppc to my pages. I don't spend it like 115 bux is a big whack of money or anything.
Which brings up another point over the past month I have noticed im getting a crazy dbl digit ctr 13.9% on one page in particular. Which is where most of the earnings are from.
Its dificult to get that on my blog.
Ive tried using section targeting on the page.php which is where I have Adsens right now but I think I'm doing it correctly, or not icluding something in the targeting.
ANy thoughts on this?
Great stuff btw Im on your rss feed and read it regularly!!

Hi kevin,

Thanks for the information you have provided, i own gelvideoizle.com and i understand the huge difference between profit and getting traffic to my site. It's a vicious cycle but as long you move forward carefully you can achieve nice profit.

There are many ways to do adsense. The white hat way, blackhat way, arbitrage, portals..

in my opinion, only white hats sites are here to stay .. for growing profits..

Adsense arbitrage is like a game - you can lose, or you can win.

Thanks for bringing this up Kevin. This is something that has annoyed me for some time. I do know there is plenty of money to be made with Adsense, no one is arguing that. But I don't want to hear about gross revenue. I want to hear about net profits! I think it would make their sales pages so much more believable if they would own up to the real stats. Great post . . . thanks!

to Jack:

I never said that adsense is not a good way to monetize your site, in fact i do earn quite well with adsense too..maybe you should read it again...

to Jonix:

thks..by the way, not to say the big earners are liers, just that they don't emphasize the real mechanics behind their success for us to notice before it is too late..

regards

I was one of the victim of "that-kind-of-books".

I buy alot at clickbank.com and it only talking some bulls**t ideas.

"A wolf in a sheep skin" is the right idiom for them!
